Since I am working on my own patcher, I've kept a copy of every other patcher, and thousands of source files. This is my first, so I need all the help and resources I can get.

hmmm you run a clean one? like no memory patcher included?
if yes, try restarting your computer =w= or remove mods and reapply them... it's what fixed this for me

- Delete itemdb.xml, race.xml from data\db\
- Use Data Packer and 'Remove Mods', then 'Find Mods' and 'Modify' again
- Try logging on elf, if you still crash, then you'll have to trial and error which file(s) are crashing your elf, I guess. Usually, the problem is in data\db\ (Remember to use Data Packer each time)

Umm, I'm new to modding Mabinogi, so now I'm getting a kernel32.dll error a minute after I start up Mabi.

Delete itemdb.xml and race.xml ? If those are already deleted, then try updating the xmls if they aren't already.

Itemdb and Race.xml don't exist in my folders.

Be sure you have mabiunpacker.
If you don't have it, get it.
Run it, click file>open, choose the latest package. (94_to_95.pack)
find itemdb.xml and race.xml. (itemdb.xml= under db tab and race.xml= under _b tab)
click on race.xml extract to location in mabiunpacker (C:\Nexon\Mabinogi\Data\_b)
Repeat process, but with itemdb.xml location
Run data packer. If you don't have it, get it.
Data packer needs to be in C:\Nexon\Mabinogi.
Those files are now updated.

I don't have 94_to_95.pack. I only have 91_to_95.pack which does not have race.xml under the _b tab in Mabiunpack. What do I do now? Do I have to get have race.xml?

Edit: Found it in the same folder as itemdb. Should I move them into the same folder again?

New problem: Mabi doesn't crash now thanks Sunao and jonny but now whenever I select my character, it sends me back to the start-up screen with a message telling me the connection abnormally ended.

A whole slew of problems...

What do I do now?

Edit:
Note: It only affects my main character whom I played last night before installing Tiara. I had a long break between Mabi sessions (6 months) and just got back yesterday. I think it has something to do with that...

Try taking off Tiara with Data Packer to see if this connection problem still persists. If it does, then it's obviously not Tiara, if it doesn't give the problem anymore, then something in your Tiara is messing things up.

Uninstalling Tiara did nothing to save my main. It looks like a Nexon fail from the maitenance on the 26th *shrug*

I reinstalled Mabi completely, just to double and triple check it wasn't Tiara.

It's not Tiara.

It's a Nexon fail that will hopefully get rectified in the current maitenance.

So your character is locked out?

Nexon seems to love doing that to do people, only solution is to ticket them, but I'm sure by now you've figured that much out.

So apparently the new maintenance doesnt like me much. My client has been downloading the launcher and restarting all over again for like the past 10 min. It finishes the download, closes out, then automatically restarts the download. It's kinda annoying
