your not the only one with that issue, I know of at least one other person that it does that with but has not been able to find the cause, as it works fine for me at 3-5 MB/s, in the past i made more mirrors and smaller file sizes to help with people who had connection issues with my hosts, but now that is what the mediafire is for (but primarily for older versions archive)
although even mediafire is blocked in some places so can't really please everyone unfortunately, plus i have to earn a few cents for my time spent so i sometimes wait a few days to a week to upload latest version to mediafire, sometimes when feeling generous i'll upload it same day, but some new versions aren't necessarily required as the game will still play fine depending on the mods updated versus the ones you've selected.

It's not too big of an issue since Abyss usually works fine without the latest update, so I can still use those mods. I didn't know the latest versions were uploaded to mediafire, though. Thanks.

If it helps, the last download I had success with was the R264 version on 12/17/17, and I historically have not had any problems downloading from the standard location. I was absent from Mabi and didn't download any mods after that until R273, when the problem started.

Removed animationevent.anievent for the time being as their was a lot of changes that will take me a good deal of time to update, although since Abyss has a patch to remove quake i may end up removing that mod from animationevent.anievent.

But, ever since the new Mabinogi update my game crashes at the start screen or I get blank buttons and then it crashes!
What am I doing wrong? Should I just try uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game (which I don't want 2 do but if I have to )

i assume you updated your mods?, you can try repairing mabinogi through the nexon launcher, data folders like uo tiara usually don't cause those types of errors so you may be having an issue with Abyss

Edit: first time i logged in fine, but then i was crashing at the character select screen, download and install uo tiara again and it should fix the problem if it's the same as mine was, though mabi likes to randomly crash due to crappy code.

Hey Shaggy! 

Been a while since I've played but thanks for keeping the mods up to date. 
I went ahead and downloaded the .exe and installed it to my mabinogi\appdata folder as instructed, went ahead and left everything on default without making any changes.

I seem to be having the same issue as the previous poster where I launch the game through the client, select "Start Mabinogi", enter my second password and then the game crashes right as the character selection screen is loading.
I tried verifying the game files through the Nexon client and then launching again but same issue occurred. It seems the only way to avoid the issue so far has been to "remove mods" through the Mabipacker and uninstalling Tiara, but well that leaves me with no mods.

Any other things you'd recommend trying?

**Edit: It seems it crashes about 5-10 seconds after the "Start Mabinogi" option becomes available and not necessarily when going to the character select screen.

Also having the crash.  Mine seems random with the timing (ex. Before entering the secondary pass, right after entering the pass but before character selection, and during character selection).  It never seems to get past the character selection though.  I tried removing abyss and it still crashed.  I unpacked and renamed the data folder and it worked.  I re-added abyss and it worked.

Here is the error that I'm getting with abyss on debug catching exceptions, while the mods are on. All the patches are successful, so i skipped the top.

I would like to report that i have the same problem as the three posters above me.
While typing in the secondary Password the client crashes.

okay, obviously isn't random then, i'm having trouble narrowing down the problem so might take me a bit to fix this one, so far it seems to be a file in data\db\.

Fixed crash, download R275.0.0.1 installer, i missed a few lines in data\db\aircraftdesc.xml

Can't download latest version from the usual location. It downloads at a crawling pace (around 100 kb/s) and always gives me a failed to download error message, leaving the downloaded file at 0 kb. Have tried downloading multiple times on different browsers and nothing works. The mediafire downloads (R272) work fine though, and download at about 1.5 - 2mb/s on my  connection.

Update for Shaggy if he cares, but the issues with hosting at the usual location have been resolved. It downloads at normal pace now and finishes correctly.

i guess you can't download it with firefox, even turned off the ad blocked for the annoying linkbucks link and all i get to is the main uotiara website with no download link..

also, funny how linkbucks (oddly with another url adress that's not the official linkbucks [eidwmjwtv]) tries to make it so you download a "File.exe"  o_o'...?

Edit: so yeah, only works with chrome so far lol

it works fine for me on chrome and firefox, maybe an addon or your version/settings is causing the problem.
also the .exe is just that ad fooling you, and i'm not seeing that specific ad, but i'm sure at some point i will.
though you should be able to keep your ad block on, course the whole point is me making that $0.01 cent.

okay, well i don't get on mabinogi often, nor have I modded any auction house files, only ui uo tiara touches is trading, blacksmith and taloring, so just telling me isn't going to help anyone.
screenshots would be nice.
unless I or someone else does some testing with mods on and off (to check if it's on nexon's end) and removing certain folders and files from the data folder until the problem is found this won't be fixed anytime soon.

I think this is what people are talking about, the AH still works fine if you know which buttons do what but the text is super busted. Abyss doesn't do this for reference.

looks to be an issue with interface.english.txt or another which isn't as much a UI file as it is just text interface, deleting the folder in both data\local\code and data\code with fix it for now, if using uotiara.pack in the package folder you will need to delete it and language.pack and use your launcher to redownload a new language.pack

how can i know if you did something wrong?
try reinstalling with a different font,  though font crashes usually only crash as soon as talking to an npc from the dialogue , and is hard to tell what is causing it since no mods specifically target just the bank.
if that doesn't work you may need to remove certain folders from /data/ like db, local, code and xml or wait until other people report the issue in case it is affecting more then just you.
