Hi guys~

I've been gone from Mabi for a while (last login shows up as 7/20/2015) and I just came back yesterday and downloaded the game again on a new computer (Windows 10).
I quickly came to Mabimods to get Tiara again but I noticed there's a lot of new things now like the Power Patcher and the new Nexon client, so I'm not sure if some steps changed.
Went ahead and ran Tiara installation as usual and it ended with Power patcher downloading something or another, but when I accessed Mabi, the mods don't seem to have applied.

Is there something different we have to do from before when you would just run the installer, check off the mods you want, and that's it?
I'd reaaally appreciate a quick update on what's new.

Also when I first run the Tiara installation, I get something like "Client.exe could not be found in C://user//documents. Proceed?" so dunno if that has something to do with it.

now that you have installed it once, it should now know the location of client.exe (which is mabinogi's main application)
all you need to apply the mod's is to check abyss or mabipacker, if neither abyss of mabipacker is working for you, you may need to use the offline version or use mabipacker manually to create and full data folder into a \package\uotiara.pack

Alright so Power Patcher is done, all I have of Abyss is the text file with the configurations, do I have to do anything with that?
Mabipacker is open, so I'll go ahead and select the "Data" directory from the Tiara installation in order to make it into a uotiara.pack, which I'll then put in the official packages folder for Mabinogi.

Did I get that half right?

you only need to get one or the other working, abyss just needs the 3 files, and check it's abyss.ini to turn them on or off, make sure the read data folder mod is on and as long as your not crashing it is working, perhaps one of it's mods is not working and it's that mod making you assume is the reason the rest of the mods are not, or just use the custom .pack your making and place it in \packag\uotiara.pack and use a third party launcher like power patcher that doesn't delete the .pack on launch so you at least see the uo tiara logo on start or at least custom maps or props of iria as well as other obvious visual mods, like holding ALT for showing CP with abyss working

Not much was changed, though you may have issues if you forget to update. Tiara is still good so far.

This didn't have anything at all to do with Tiara.  Tiara and other mods build off what Nexon supplies (Tiara also didn't touch these files that affect that).  That being said, their implementation of new features and content has been spotty and rough shod lately.

Hello, I've never posted in these forums before so my apologies in advance if this post looks strange or anything.
I've been trying for hours to properly download this mod, but I keep getting an error that Abyss didn't download properly and my antivirus didn't seem to have quarantined or stopped anything. I've looked around for solutions and can't find any that works for me. I also can't find the Tiara uninstaller anywhere in my files, I don't know if that's because I'm being blind or if I'm not looking in the right direction for it. I've tried all I can and the first time I did this, the mods worked fine, but every time I opened the dressing room the game would crash so I tried to fix it and... led myself to this mess, now the game won't even open at all with  the mods 'installed'. I'm sorry is this is an issue that's already been addressed, I can't find or figure out how to fix it and it's been nine hours of fussing with it and I'm at my limit and have to ask.
Hope to hear back, sorry for the trouble and thank you.

edit: honestly at this point, I just want to know where the uninstaller is.

If possible I'd really like to just get it working. This mod is the only thing that makes it possible for me to play this game smoothly.

the solution is to download the Offline version of the installer, that will remove the error and you thinking it has anything to do with mods...
then you need to use powerpatcher, to replace your language.pack or other .packs that are corrupted that are most likely causing your in game error.
to uninstall tiara you just delete the data folder, to uninstall abyss you just delete ilj15.dll and rename ilf5.dat to ilj15.dll

i say this because no mod in uotiara affects the dressing room, itemdb.xml can if it's outdated, and you have a new item that isn't in your itemdb.xml so make sure you use the offline version and it installs completely.
i'm guessing because you use the steam version, that it's giving you errors and putting the uninstaller it the usual mabinogi location maybe

Alright, thank you.. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I looked for the offline installer a while ago and can't seem to find it (I'm probably just being blind), would it be alright to ask for a link to it? I'm sorry if this is a lot of stupid questions.
How would I use powerpatcher to replace things? Do I go into the Advanced Settings tab (I think that's what it was called) and click something?

Okay so I mostly have everything working fine, now I just have one problem that I've been struggling with that I can't seem to make work. I've tried reinstalling several times and double checking that I've clicked on everything, but the mods don't seem to be showing up at all. The abyss mods are working, but as far as the font mod and stuff like Tara walls being gone or Taillteann trees into flowers, those haven't done anything and I'm at a loss to what to do to make it work now.

Can't confirm, but you can try watching popular sites where people whine.  I believe mabination is one, you have nexon's official site, reddit, and probably facebook.  Or stand around dunby and listen to people.

The reason I question is because not very many I've dealt with in the years so far have been forthcoming and upfront about all that they do aside from Tiara.

Ah hell, now i wish i'd saved this when i saw it.  I recall at some point that, think it was from nexon forums actually, one of the staff or volunteers said that nexon doesn't do perma bans for regular mods.  If you got banned for modding, there's more to it than the standard mods, like you'd find from this site for example.  Cuz back when pake was rampant, and nexon finally stepped in, this was a big deal where people claimed to be banned for just using tiara and such, and someone officially stepped up and basically said that the accused weren't sharing all the details or were lying.  Now, there were temp bans, on the ones doing stupid stuff like advertising their mods in dunby and such, but those were no more than suspensions and not true bans.

So after that, i'd take it with a grain of salt if people are claiming to be banned due to purely tiara.

I was very skeptical of what he said and is why I asked here. Thank you Shaggy and Florn for clearing that one up.
