Then the game will still crash, but if it didn't you wouldn't be able to log in without HShield running.
Unless you removed Crackshield altogether, then you won't be able to use abyss.

Tried again with Crackshield, Mabinogi still crashes. It's strange, it was working before.

Restart your computer first, then try this.

Upon login it will demand you run crackshield, and then wait until you've run it and clicked retry.
If this happened, run it and click retry. If this works, close game, re-enable data mods from above, run game again.

Depending on OS and how up to date hackshield is, you may or may not experience issues.
Since you say it won't run at all, my first guess is that it's OS related.
Could easily be wrong, but that is my go-to when people say it doesn't start.

I've restarted my computer like you said...Now it's saying I have to reinstall Mabinogi...

Reinstalled Mabinogi, Now it's doing the same thing, Crashing after the first Hackshield scan, I doubt it's an OS problem because it worked before. The struggle is real. lol.

Just to be sure, reinstall your OS.

have you tried running HSUpdate.vbs? just because it worked before doesn't mean something hasn't changed to prevent it from working again.

in any case you can apply uo tiara's data folder mods without abyss or crackshield just using data packer.exe

however since this is not the abyss thread i advise you to direct your questions their

Yea, It's a false positive due to Autobot's Updater, take it or leave it.

I'm having the same issue I think.  I'm running Windows 10 now if that makes a difference but once I enabled mods everything seems to run ok until the title screen comes up then it just closes down altogether.

how is that the same issue?
make sure you have crackshield ie hslaunch.exe running.
change DataFolder=1 to DataFolder=0 in abyss.ini and remove any mods applied with data packer.exe then try again, report back with results.

Why is it every time somebody complains about a virus that doesnt exist, every single time, it is without a shred of information, and written in all caps.
On any site, by any person,  it is always the exact same. Almost word for word, in caps.

It was running, however I just reinstalled Tiara and it worked fine and no there is no virus in the file, it's perfectly fine.  I have however had windows 10 report it as a suspicious file but that's because windows is stupid sometimes and is over protective like an insecure parent. Thanks for all your hard work on this mod.  I really appreciate it.

 So here's what I have going. I have to run several characters through g2. There are two different places where having cutscene removal on prevents this. I can't remember the second, but the first is that first bari dungeon you have to run. It removes the cutscene and then your stuck in a black void only able to see your toon. All jazzed up about the installer working again I reinstalled everything and got it working and mabi running. I unticked the cutscene stuff so I could do g2. Cut scenes are still being removed however and while I'm running s1ep10  at the end of it it's preventing me from clicking anything. I can talk to Tarlach, but once I do I'm unable to click the buttons to proceed with chat. I have to then task manager kill mabinogi to get it to do anything. I log back in and then I still can't click anything in the game. It's as though my left click in mabi has been turned off. All other mouse functions appear normal.  Then after killing mabi through manager I restart and still have the problem after talking to Akule to register completion of the Macha fight. Kill mabi again and log back in and everything is working.  This is the second toon this has happened on so it wasn't a one off bug.

So I reticked cutscene removal on the installer and just for S&G went into the g2 barri dungeon before testing to see if I was still having  problems and now I'm not getting stuck in the void at the start, but am at the boss level beginning cut scene. When I say in the void I mean it's sticking me in the wall behind the entry stairs. Not getting the saga end can't click anything bug I was. So problem is two fold I guess. Draconis's improved cutscene remover isn't covered in the installer and that ole pesky cutscene remover hates g2. Also I'm on windows 8, am 33, single, and have been told I have an old soul if that helps anything.

I can't get any of my mods to work because the DATApacker.exe file won't open. It gives me a message saying "copy to mabi install dir then run." It's in my instal directory which is C:/Nexon/Library/mabinogi (since I'm using the Nexon Launcher) and the problem might be that there is no Client.exe. An error message pops up at the beginning of the Tiara installation saying that Client.exe can't be found. Is there any way around this?

yea, i tried to fix the installer to compinsate for that, which is why it gives you the client.exe error, however i did not add in for it to search for your correct directory yet, so glad you found it on your own.

Why, yes. Yes, you are, if you haven't read the other posts about mods not working after update in several threads.

Outdated mods can cause issues.

A - Unpack or go into Abyss.ini and set the data folder option to 0 to disable the data folder mods until the mod pack updates.

B - Manually figure out which file in the data folder is causing the issue through the process of elimination.  It's generally XMLs.

V - Update.

uo tiara was updated this morning so you may need to run the latest installer.

I thought the solution to this was deleting language.pack and repatching the game... But it has been quite some time... So iunno.

Package folder, in your mabi folder.
And every time you run the game, the patcher checks what you have and if you need to download a file and should just redownload it... However, powerpatcher is a much easier method to repatch the game.

However, once I again I must state it has been a long time. I may be wrong on that being the solution to this. But if you want to give it a shot anyways, once repatched, nothing changes to your game.  So no losses.
