I had a working frontend.

I wanted one mod from Tiara (alchemist cloud removal)

I install Tiara.

I only installed that one mod and all the other required ones.

It up everything.

Now frontend doesn't recognize the Mabi installation folder.

I checked the registry location. Seems the modification is not there.

You don't just learn to mod.  Modding is an elite skill, you should know that.

I just wanted to remove alchemy cloud, and there's no way to only extract the file I need without having to install the entire package, which ended up screwing front up.

Wrong.  I recently downloaded the installer to check the files in it and get the l-rod glowy thing, had my l-rod effects deleted for a long time prior to the exploration update.  So i know you can install it outside of the mabinogi folder, pick and select the files you want, and then move them into the mabinogi folder.  You're simply doing it wrong, revise your options and check again.

you don't even have to install it somewhere else.
just open it up.

Taken the mod is not wholly up to date, what could be causing the new Exploration skills to not show up? I thought that removing the files relating to skills from the Data folder would work, buuuuut that doesn't seem to be the case. Any ideas?

Did you also remove UOTiaras.pack from your C;\nexon\mabinogi\package folder?

same thing i do is use 7zip cause i have my own data folder with my private mods that i made,i just extract what mods i want out of Tiara's data and put it
inside my data with out having to install the complet tiara.

There's a pack file for it? That's odd.. Just checked it and there's no file by that name; just the regular packs. Could it be that I'm using the Data Packer that comes with Tiara?
Also, I've tried the ole' delete everything method and it comes out the same after a reinstall.

But I'm not worried too much about it. I can wait patiently for the update if needed be.

I know several dds files contain skill images.  I assume the exploration ones are in there somewhere.  I'm assuming it's GFX/GUI somewhere, but you might not want to quote me on that.  Not going over the basic modding steps to confirm the file's updated and/or properly removing said file though.

Everything that changed:

To make new things work without much work:
Delete features.xml.compiled if you have it in your data folder.

Try not to TL;DR, but...
TL;DR:
Cross-reference things that changed on TH Update (things in pic) with what's in your data folder.
Update/Delete as needed.

Ah. All this time I was thinking is was JUST pertaining to skills or rather skillinfo. Welp, gonna take a bit, but I'll find it. Thanks for the insight.

Hey I don't know if the issue I'm having is on my end or the mods but, every time I launch mabi with mods installed nothing happens but the game is running. The game will only properly work if I delete the mods and what not. This error started happening yesterday, and I was hoping it would resolve itself but it didn't. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

I tried googling this but googling it gets me the weirdest results...
 HSLaunch.exe aka Hackshield closes every minute or so and has to be relaunched... any idea how to resolve this?

It's been more than a couple weeks. Also, Tiara is also convenient for those who do mod, not everyone feels like updating every time there's a patch.

Did the thought occur to you that shaggy feels the same way you do? Every time there's an update to the game, he gets inundated with requests to update the mods, maybe he doesn't feel like it either? Or maybe life just happened to be more important than updating mods for people who expect to have them updated and handed to them on a silver platter?

^.^ can not forget you professor ha ha but i will personally say thank you to the both of you for providing files to us and keeping them organized/Updated.

not all of tiaras mods are broken, using a data packer you can pick and choose your mods such as the ones that lower graphics ie taras building removals, and abyss happens to be working so in terms of NEEDED mods, such as ones to reduce lag, they work, the convenience or, lazy mods as i like to call them, may not be working properly, to those i say, omg life is so hard for the gamers of this day, learn to fix it yourself or stop qqing and wait for someone to fix them for you, its a free service provided youve done nothing your entire life to earn the right to be using them at all.

Don't even need db folder or translation files, just dump them and save updating Tiara for a year or half. (Directed at those complaining about updates/slow updates)
