I did a clean install (with setup 173r), updated it to the latest pack.

Thanks Shaggy I figured it out.
When I installed my game, I updated it to 176, but never ran it so hackshield/nexonguard never updated/installed.
Without those; instant error.

When I updated Tiara to the latest version, it deleted or my Crackshield disappeared. Tiara didn't install it like it did before this update. I can't find where to download/install Crackshield anywhere and every time I try to log in Mabinogi with mods it says: "Lost Connection with CrackShield. Retry?"
What do I do in this situation?

reinstall and make sure abyss is checked, a shortcut to hslaunch.exe (crackshield) will be placed on your desktop

I have Microsfot security essentials turned off and my firewalls disabled for the install, it still doesn't work.

then download Abyss manually, even with that error uo tiara installed fine, and you can use data packer.exe, but i can't tell you why Abyss is failing to download or extract for you, use http://abyss.ewecania.com

you can rename the data\gfx\gui\map_jpg\minimap_iria_courcle_eng.jpg to minimap_iria_courcle_mgfree_eng.jpg for now

of course, we always know what they change, but this is the last time i post any information about it since i don't want too many people using the old maps and not realizing their are new mana tunnels or moon gates and what have you.

K thanks! I usually play with my hubby who doesn't mod so it shold be easier for me to find them without having them on the map. I'm assuming someone at some point will modify the new maps? Not that I'm in a terrible hurry, I'm just a curious person.

This is just an observation to note, but it seems that modding the Iria minimaps takes a toll on FPS when on the continent map - When you use mana tunnels. I found this out because after the update when the maps weren't working, I'd be at 20fps when using a tunnel. When I placed the courcle map, it dipped down to 2fps. I took out the mod again and it was back up to 20fps. I wonder wth is going on. So far I'm only seeing it in courcle because that's the only map I care about; I haven't tested the other regions.

there is more information on the modded maps obviously and the last time i did the maps i didn't compress them, neither does devcat and actually layered 2 maps together so a few of those could be reason's however that's the price you pay for adding a visual mod and having a computer not built for gaming.
had i ever seen 2fps while playing a game i would be curious on what was going on too.

Updated to V176B:
added kirbysama's V176 Exploration Maps Remade + Cleaned, quality is better than previous exploration maps and file sizes have been compressed so any FPS issues may also be resolved.

I believe the world map loaded by hitting a mana tunnel lags for everyone.
I couldn't say why though.

yea, even i lag with world map on occasion, modded maps or not, but his observation is that modded maps increase the lag that much more.

before they changed the world map i had compressed the images to save on loading time but have not done so with the new one.

Has this change been incorporated to the v176B Tiara?
If so I'm downloading it right away

no, not yet, i could do it myself but i assume kirbysama uses something better than gimp or knows that the .dds compressions to use better than me.

Got the new Unofficial Tiara, but the exploration maps don't seem to be working for me.  I see them in the files, but they don't appear when I open the client.
