I wish there was an easier way to download autobot other than going through all of this.

Also, how do I turn off bitmap font? It seems even if I turn off bitmap font on abyss, tiara turns it on for some reason. Even if I choose a different font when downloading tiara.

what isn't easy about it? and once autobot is installed it will tell you when it needs updated and will download its update automatically (on a good day) without uo tiara.
and the font's are installing correct for me.

But is there a reason why bitmap still comes up even though I have it set to off in the Abyss.ini. Hasn't been an issue until I downloaded the most recent update of tiara.

As you can see it's switched off, but bitmap is still on. and typing in /bitmap ingame doesn't change anything even though the slash commands in Abyss.ini is activated. Which is why I assumed it was an "issue" with tiara. Please correct me if I'm wrong. lol

I didn't edit the .ini... I just pulled it up to show that it was off.

are you sure that's the bitmap font and not ydygo550; you can try the uotiara font #5 to be sure as it's the most unique of the fonts.

Posting in regard of someone else. They just installed it, ran it without abyss, took off a few simple cosmetic changes (Noon sky and rain/snow removal.)
And now it just gives them a error whenever they click launch on the patcher.
They got this as well.
client.exe caused an ESL_EXCPT_CODE_TERMINATE() in module KERNELBASE.dll at 0023:771A4B32, RaiseException()+0x49

hmm, that doesn't seem like an error you would get from just using data packer, i can only assume they have some outdated files in their data folder; try reinstalling and delete the data folder when it asks.

oh, okay my mistake.

i tested the installer by unchecking the font and also noticed that abyss.ini does indeed have bitmap=1 as default still; i also downloaded abyss manually to verify.

uo tiara disables abyss's bitmap when installing ttf fonts so they can be used, by checking "Remove Font Changes nanumgothicbold.ttf, font_outline_eng.dds and Abyss's Bitmap font" in "risky mods" or by opening Abyss's config at the end of the installation for you to manually change.

Forgot to mention something about the latest patch of abyss.
Make sure you set BitmapPositionFix to 0 as well
BitmapPositionFix will enable bitmaps even if bitmap is set to 0 (It's really just an alternative way to enable asian bitmap without the title swap, but blade prefers to call it a position fix for whatever reason.)

no one has reported that problem to me, but i can help you through team viewer if you install it and send me your id an pass; basically you would just need to change a mod or two with Abyss or remove one or two key files from the data folder most likely in data\db\ until its working again.

That has nothing to do with mods. It's been an issue since G18 was implemented. Happens even in an unmodified client. Basically, it says that the distance to join the party is too far away.

Whether on purpose or by accident, Nexon made the party board useless with the G18 patch. In order to join a party on the party board, you still need to be near the party leader.

typically you just check one of the 5 fonts when you select what mods to install then if you install Abyss open abyss.ini at the end of the installation and change bitmap=1 and BitmapPositionFix to 0

I did I check tiara and did everything you said I still have the mabinogi default font ;-;

see if you have \data\gfx\font\nanumgothicbold.ttf and if you do double click it and make sure it is the BusAccident font then re-pack mods or use Abyss's DataFolder patch
if you don't have it then its either because your checking the "risky mods" that remove font changes or the installer hasn't been granted the right to download files.
