I'm having a rather interesting issue, I downloaded tiara and abyss separately, used abyss alone and it worked fine, but once I installed and packed tiara, abyss ceased working. I didn't crash, and there's no noticeable problems that I know of. It just doesn't work with Tiara for me, for some reason. For reference, I'm in windows 7, 64 bit.
Edit: Upon further investigation, it seems that packing tiara somehow removed crackshield from my system tray, as well as all traces of it running, except the entry in the process list, but it somehow also did not give any warning about not being able to enter the game, and did not prompt me to run it before logging in. I'm not entirely sure how that's even possible, tried re-installing abyss, but there was no change.
Edit 2: I also tried uninstalling Tiara to see if Abyss would still work alone, and even after removing Tiara, Abyss wouldn't work, though it did still prompt to run crackshield.
It seems like this:
So after reformatting my PC more than 5 times today. I seem to have found the issue why Abyss doesn't work.
The problem was the mod not working at all. You can boot up Mabinogi and all but once you have logged in the world nothing was working as if you are running a clean client despite it asking for crachshield to be enabled after you type in your username and password.
The thing that prevented it from working was my Asus Xonar DX soundcard drivers! My soundcard was blocking it.
Guess I'll have to use onboard sound...
So my conclu-thesize on why Abyss didn't work was because of either software or drivers.
is what is happening for me, but the thing that made me think otherwise initially was the fact that abyss worked at first. If you have any suggestions on a work-around, they would be appreciated, but I understand if there aren't any.
Final Edit: After disabling all sound card drivers, the patchlog appeared, but then I began to experience the bugtrap error that has no solution as of yet, which I found very peculiar considering I did have abyss working for a short period of time, but I've given up since there's no way to bypass the bugtrap error currently.
