News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

yea i've noticed and uo tiara shouldn't be touching race/enemy dialog; i assume the file causing this is ai_local.english.txt but so far i have not narrowed down the problem.

Edit:
removed mods and it was still untranslated so i'm thinking its one of the files in \db\ai\local\ of the .packs

Thank you for checking Shaggy. So the issue is on Nexons end then?

Yeah, Nexon dun goofed somehow. @_@;

For some silly reason, and who knows why, they accidentally removed the AI text file... So all speaking enemies are doing that xml.ai.XXX stuff. I suppose if you have a copy of the language.pack or something before the last maintenance, maybe it could be packed back in? I don't know... I mean, there wasn't a patch...

Hi there~

I was wondering if it was Tiara which had the "Minimize Characters" > invisible characters. Before the latest update, the option to minimize characters around me used to change people into invisible people with only their names floating around. Now, they are in slender robes again.

Is there a way to obtain this?

Thank you so much for your (and those that contributed to making this) hard work!

there is a glitch with mabinogi and character minimization (slider is set to 0 instead of the minimal 10), go to your options and move the character minimization slider and it should correct it.

Hi. I've been lurking here a while and this is the first time I've had a problem with a mod I couldn't fix on my own.

After installing, I immediately saw the new launcher and thought, "Oh, cool!", but then it launched the game, and the client crashed before the UO Tiara logo could even load. My mood tanked somewhat, but I had dealt with this before, so I removed my data mods to test if it would work. After another launch, the same thing happened, except I saw the Nexon logo for a split second. My next course of action was to uninstall Mabinogi--but lo' and behold, uninstalling from anywhere--control panel or game folder--brings up the launcher which I have classified as horrendous. I cannot uninstall the game because a dumb, custom-made launcher that doesn't seem to fully work (I cannot type my login information) decides it wants its useless presence to be everywhere. I don't know how many times I've tried uninstalling and fiddling with my admin settings etc., and now I'm sick of seeing that thing. Please, tell me how to get rid of the launcher and re-install the game so I can attempt some normal form of a solution for myself.

just delete the mabinogi folder and its uninstalled, congrats!
and next time un-check the mabilauncher so you don't install it or you could just use _mabinogi.exe which is nexon's launcher and rename it back to mabinogi.exe to restore the un-needed Uninstall.lnk

and the login section is only for the chinese mabinogi server; the launcher works fine.

however if you want to explain your error and say remove mods with data packer.exe we might fix it without you re-installing mabinogi.

After posting that, I remembered that I could simply open my original install file for Mabinogi and have everything re-installed from there. In my upset, that solution must have been lost to me.

Anyhow, I've just finished re-installing everything and I made sure not to check the launcher on installing UO Tiara; everything seems to be working perfectly fine. Thank you for replying, Shaggy--maybe it wouldn't taken this much time to fix everything had I read your post earlier.

Is there anyway to fine tune the mods by turning certain features on and off? Like all the extra features are cool and all, but I would like to see the sky again... and the rain lol. Honestly, if there was a way to only mod the maps I'd probably just do that  8)    But I digress... I've been out of mabi for a long time and the mods always used to have some kind of ini file that let you turn things on and off... but I can't seem to find that setup file anymore. Are the mods just so fixed that you literally cant change any aspect of it anymore? Or am I just being blind/uninformed?

When installing, uncheck the boxes for features you don't want. The blue sky thing is something about Always Noon Sky, don't remember the name.

Not sure if it happens only to me, but trying to download from the link at the first page, it downloads 4MB then it stops downloading with an error.
Mind to check?

How do you turn off the feature that makes it always look like daytime?

thanks you for the fact about disabling the "always noon " option (which was a pain to find since there were 3 and in the fx folders)

Also, is there a way to change the font without having to re-install the mods with checking a different font?

You can go back to default Mabinogi font by deleting the font folder, but if you want to actually change it to something other than default Mabinogi, you'll have to either re-install UOTiara to a random folder, selecting only font, then copy it into your actual folder, or the second option is to download the font file yourself and then place it in.

I was updating Tiara to 129 and when asked if I wanted to delete my current data folder I accidentally hit yes when I always hit no. That's what I get for being momentarily distracted by the TV. I have a few custom files in it which is why I never delete it when updating. So now my issue is does anyone know how I get my old data folder back now? I don't see it in the recycle bin. Sadness. :'(

nope, once it deletes it; its gone unless you use a program for recovering data that usually names things wrong or comes out in gibberish, but i will change future versions to move to a 'data backup' folder instead.
