neither one of these posts helped you sign in any faster, did you delete c:\nexon\mabinogi\package\language.pack and run mabinogi.exe or _mabinogi.exe to download a new language.pack like you were told to do?

Hi Shaggy. For some reason Tiara acts like it's attempting to update, like in a loop, but nothing actually pops up to update it. I did everything like usual, made sure to remove Solaris.exe and its .dll file, unpacked my data folder, and then updated the client on my win7 and older Vista laptops. Since Tiara was having issues with updating itself I decided to just download the file and install it all over again. This seemed to work but when I did try to use the update .exe the same thing happened again. Any time this happens I then have to end the process with task manager to stop the spazzing it's making.

After a few attempts to start the client after updating Tiara did get a hackshield crash each time at the login screen. I'm not sure what to do since this isn't he pack malformmated issue. This almost sounds like what the above poster was having issues with? This is some of my crash log below.

client.exe caused an ESL_EXCPT_CODE_TERMINATE()
in module KERNELBASE.dll at 0023:7534B9BC, RaiseException()+0x58

the updater no longer works which is why its not included in the installer anymore.
the reason is because autobot does the same thing and i get tired of adding the files and uploading them to my server for two different programs and the fact that its not a very sophisticated update system so it needs a rehaul anyway.

as for you client.exe error i'm not sure why its happening, but try removing mods with data packer.exe and see if it still occurs.

Ok, thanks for the info, I'll make sure to delete the updaters for Tiara and autobot.

When I removed the data folder and packer my client starts just fine. I just did a fresh install for Mabi and my data folder about a month ago so I'm not sure what could have happened to cause this after today's maintenance.

I'll try removing everything again to make sure I have a clean client and then get a fresh install of Tiara to see what happens. After that I'll slowly add my favorite mods to my data folder to see if I can find the issue. Thank you Shaggy!

Crap my client is up to date with Tiara up and now my client is closing every login. No errors one. Restarted computer didn't work. x-x

make sure you don't have dinput8.dll or solaris.exe, then delete your data folder and remove mods with data packer.exe and if you get a malformated error delete \package\language.pack and re-download it with mabinogi.exe or _mabinogi.exe

that might be an unforeseen problem with the new mod to enable skill bar minimize, you can disable it for now by deleting \data\db\layout\skill\skillsidebar.xml and repacking.

I believe I found the issue with my client crashing. I was using the "penguin into a ragdoll" mod in my data folder and it places a race.xml in 'db' folder. Once I removed that file the client stopped crashing. When I open the file with notepad I can find the section that contains the penquin/ragdoll info but wasn't sure what I need to change to update it for client version 120, so for now I'll just keep it removed from my data folder. I'll eventually read the guides on .xml again since it's been months since I last checked into that.

db/layout contains the gui files and the alchemist files are:

You are going to add the ability to control this without deleting stuff in the future, right?

you can control it now by just not having it as one of the mods to be installed by the installer; uo tiara has always had that option.

Um, what's controlling the sound effects? I don't have the sound folder and my dragon/horse is mute upon summoning.

data\sound\ and animationevent.anievent; these have been muted for some time now and you should be using the installer to uncheck the mods you don't want installed.
because there are also summoning effects and animations that are removed for dragon/horse you may not want.

In other words... One should always at least skim through the mods one is installing lest one install a mod that one does not want.

Not a MAJOR issue but you may want to know it:

Every so often I disconnect from mabinogi, upon relogin, I get a hackshield error box (empty, just the framing of the box) and mabinogi shuts off. This does not occur with a clean game and I've tested by uninstalling all mods except tiara ones and I've seen that it only happens with tiara installed.. though I could be wrong and it could just be random luck U: but ya.. not really a big issue since i can just restart client but i just thought you should know? ._." Since you told me that you'd like to know every little bugs or issues with it since it may lead to bigger issues o_o; not much of a techie but its just something i noticed

we may just discover its one of nexon's random glitches though but i will keep look into it if i can replicate it.
