I have the Same issue i been told to delete Dinput8.dll but seems i cannot find it an i try updating Microsoft DirectX nothing seems to work i keep getting the hackshield error and crashing at login screen

try running c:\nexon\mabinogi\hshield\hsupdate.exe

Seems that they actually added field zoom into the options menu this patch.

I'm not using Solaris. I took it out and I'm not crashing at character selection screen anymore. Are we like waiting for a fix?

you talking about that vivid downloader? its not a virus its just spyware.

and no i'm staying with adf.ly or maybe another pay site down the road if i can find a better one because of the time i put into uo tiara and the cost of my webhost.

I do agree that you deserve to by paid, I just don't personally trust or like adf.ly
and yeah it was easy enough to get rid of but still...

at any rate; has anyone had problem connecting to the channels? I can get in game fine, once i get into a channel (any channel) game crashes

After many attempts trying to play mabinogi with mods i quit after 3-4 hours due to hackshield error that wont allow me play after i took out Solaris and all its contents,restored previous folders and install new folder and install Tiara moonshine R117 over and over again im just going to play without mods until further notice.

It looks like that the "Expand Dungeon Zoom" option now affects zoom outside of dungeons, too. I've checked on an unmodded client, and the zoom distance in Dunbarton, for example, is greater at 200% than at 100%. ^^

When I go to update my mods my DATApacker says "PACK malformatted!" 9 times it pops up and I can't pack my data. v.v How to fix please?

delete \package\language.pack and re-download it with mabinogi.exe then try data packer again.

From R115 to R117 was anything important changed in tiara?

Also, I'm getting nuked by HS the moment I try logging into a character.

I've not touched Solaris, and haven't updated Tiara since R115. I tried repacking, I tried deleting the language pack, and I also tried repacking after that.

Oh and I also tried updating HS.

It worked, and I thank you for it.

I'm not sure why, I'll keep playing around... but I think it may be linked to autobot which I removed at the same time.

Edit: Put autobot back, didn't mess with the datafolder. No issues to report aside from not being able to update autobot, even after following the instructions for updating in the thread.

no it was probably because animationevent.anievent was updated and by just repacking; data packer does not update the file since its already been packed.
so that's why you have to remove mods each update.

I thought I updated Tiara to 117 but when the auction house quest started I got a hackshield error. Not sure what happen but I removed my data folder and didn't have the error the second time I attempted the quest. I might just redownload 117 instead up using the updater to see if that might help with a fresh data folder install.

it depends on when you used the updater cause i was a late on adding the updated files to it today, but it is better to use the installer because it is capable of fixing more potential problems.

That seems to be why I had the issue lol. I updated it a few hours ago but it was still showing as 115, just updated now and its showing 117. Thanks Shaggy!
