well the reason for why it causes crashes is still unknown to me so in r105 or r106 i put nexon's default cutscene_c4g15_ship.xml in so if you compare the files you can see its unchanged/unmodded and has been the last few releases.

next release i won't include the file at all but i figured putting their xml in would save the trouble of me telling people to delete it, but i guess not.

I have a problem with this mod right now....it shows the Silver tag over the ore camps for metallurgy, but that tag stays even after I took the ore out of it. As a result I don't even know which spot I visited and which not. Is there a fix or solution for this that I missed somehow?

Edit: It also seems to prevent me from leveling Metallurgy, it gave no exp although I found iron ore.

yea, don't click on the label/name; use the metallurgy skill around the spot like your suppose to.

Chacha's Shorter Inventory Tab Names doesnt seem to be working after today's little maint and the update to 108.
Sorry for not addressing this sooner (I haven't been coming to MabiMods often lately... ^^;)...

My mod is an edit to interface.english.txt. This file can be found in two paths:
\data\code
\data\local\code
The first is stored in language.pack, and the latter is stored in the update packs. I'm not sure which folder Shaggy puts it in (or both?), as I hadn't been running the installer in a while... but I've always kept my text edits locally in both paths.
A friend of mine brought this thread to my attention, and she informed me that normally language.pack is loaded before the update packs, so the update packs overwrite the contents of language.pack. However, with the last update, it would appear that language.pack might be loading afterwards... so if the text edits are only in \data\local\code (or \data\local\xml for edits to those text files), they might be overwritten by \data\code (and \data\xml). This would make it where even though the modded file is packed, it's going into the directory that isn't getting read with the highest priority.

The short of it is... just to be on the safe side, unpack all mods, duplicate text edits between the two paths (\data\local\code and \data\code; \data\local\xml and \data\xml), and then pack mods again to make sure both locations of the file are being overwritten.

i have a question do you think nexon added something that would mess with tiara and crash client because ever since the pillow event ive been getting weird  2 -3secound Freeze skips and crashing 2-3 times a day and i don't know what it is

because they're correct...lol

forward slash (/) is used in URL's, such as http://mabimods.net, and backslash (\) is used in Windows directories, such as C:\Nexon\Mabinogi.
E = mc² actually stands for Enjoyment = (Modifying the Client)². The more Mods you have, the Enjoyment increases exponentially.

i believe i've had the same problem with clean mabi installs so i can only assume its lag/mtu settings or a glitch on nexon's part because when trying it several times, waiting, changing channels or logging in and out it would eventually minimize characters and i never narrowed it down to an exact cause.

so i'll look into it more and have a fix in a few days if it is a mod issue.

Edit:
confirmed this is not a mod issue be removing mods with data packer.

on a clean client i had to activate minimization then log off/on or change channels for the blur to take effect but after 10-15 seconds they would return to normal and stay that way

however with it modded they would flash every 10-15 seconds and either go back invisible or stay normal and next 10-15 would go back to normal or invisible again.

so again i can only assume this is a glitch with nexon, lag/mtu or graphics settings that both me and you share.

OK, thanks. I seem to have fixed it myself a few days ago, and it was something with the actual character minimization settings in the Options itself. Funny how I never bothered to look in Options first, but anyway for some reason the "minimum frame" was set to 0 (that's never happened before to me). Normally it can't be that value since the slider bar has a minimum value of 10. All it took to fix it was to activate minimization, slide the bar to the maximum value of 60, and it was working fine again. So I agree, it may be just a glitch on Nexon's part.

Kind of off topic question, How do I reduce lag with the already built-in preferences of mabi? I already have all effects off, color depth is at "It doesn't matter" Range of vision to the lowest possible, minimized characters and everything and I still get 3-5 frames per second outside of towns... Am I missing something?

yea i've used the two folders since i started modding data folders with autobot because some use patcher's and some use packer's but i haven't noticed the change to language.pack now being read 2nd, but i'll look at that just for curiosity sake.

short answer is no, but i have also been getting the 2-3 seconds of lag on occasion but haven't been crashing.

Chacha wasn't talking about the packages but was talking about the windows directory that data packer uses for the packages and even though windows sucks; its used by 75% of computers so using "\" to describe paths and even tree lists is the standard.

I think It's the entire Data Folder (or just the fonts and like chop off trees), I'm re installing, It's more probable that I screwed up on something haha

Yes, I did screw up. It is working now ;) I probably selected a wrong install folder or something like that, Thanks a lot :D

It will. There is no package difference in 107_to_108.pack that was in Tiara.

Huh.  I just had to right click and run as admin, which is weird because I haven't had to do that before this mod was installed.  Just thought I'd let others here know, even though this mod might not even be the problem :)

delete c:\nexon\mabinogi\package\language.pack then run mabinogi.exe so it redownloads it close mabi and try data packer again.
