News

Nexon has recently updated Mabinogi to a 64 bit client. This update has broken many mods in memory patchers for the time being. The mod creators are working hard to essentially rebuild all mods from scratch, and this process will take some time. Please be patient, and stay tuned for more updates.

It's also happening in the Commerce Trade-Goods window, one of the town names is overlapped.

Just a thought, could the overlap issues be partially because of font? My character info window is perfectly fine, but I use a different font than UOT...

Most likely font. What I did to fix this is I shortened all the town names in commercecommon.english.txt.

Actually, it's not in interface.english.txt. I checked all the files that were different between yours and mine and didn't find anything dealing with the character info. My guess is they did an update in language.pack.

If someone with this problem can either use PowerPatcher to download a new language.pack or delete the language.pack and let mabinogi.exe download a new language.pack to verify if this corrects the problem? Not something I can really check as I no longer have the problem.

hmm, pretty sure my language .pack is latest as well as i do it often for that reason.
i still have not had the time to check out care; although now i'm more curious to find out where/what it is that causes it.

maybe if you sent me your files i could compare to find the difference.

i couldn't find anything in your files that made the difference but i did add some of your edits and will provide credit for changes in interface.english.txt
however getting the new language.pack solved the problem (apparently i missed it; hate when they sneak these in without changing revision).

Yeah, I tried downloading it to try and fix some untranslated stuff. I would go back a couple revisions to get the files when they were translated properly, but I'm lazy. They'll fix it eventually.

Oh yeah, wanted to ask what you used to compare files with. While diff is nice on a 'nix box, copying files all over the place more than I already do would be annoying, so I do it in Windows. Convinced work to get some licenses for Beyond Compare 3 and like it a good bit, but I'm curious about the other alternatives.

Yeah, I didn't see a whole lot of difference between submerge and Beyond Compare standard. I wanted work to get the Pro version, but they shorted me.

It's a dll, get JAP or MNG for it, but we can't help you getting it to work here, due to an extra file needed.

look like both mng and jap dll for cp are broken, I tried both. MNG I got to the character screen with error, and jap don't even make it pass hs.

you can get/find the cp dll for jap by searching the forums here and as for getting them to work; stop asking here since we can not help with the hackshield errors that you receive from them alone.

not to mention this thread has nothing to do with mng and jap.

I pasted these five files into my mabinogi data/db and use DATA packer to pack them into the pack files but it not working. I only use 5 of the six you list. Test it in alby dungeon normal.

db\dungeon_ruin.xml
db\dungeondb.xml
db\dungeondb2.xml
db\minimapinfo.xml
db\undergroundmaze.xml

Sorry ShaggyZE, I just want to let Playtime know the result.

then you did something wrong.
ensure all the names/locations are correct, remove mods with data packer and try again.

you can also do a custom install of tiara and only select the dungeon fog removal mods or with autobot.
