In a few short hours, NA players can play on KR servers (including test) and you can already make an account, all without a proxy or KSSN.

Sorry about that, I figured that would be the case, though the link works fine for me. We had a problem with some users and they were eventually put on Global Ignore and later banned, but their removed posts have messed up everything...


Though as of right now, we're still having trouble logging in.

Seems like we can login, but we're still figuring things out. This thread is probably more useful now.

well I guess it's time to take back everything I said about dynamic combat until I've actually tried it out. I still think it looks like it'll be horrid, but we'll see...

EDIT: Nvm, test server will take 7 hours to download. And I'm not going to bother getting on the regular one xD It holds no value to me to be surrounded by a bunch of people who's language I don't speak, and have to grind up though 1,000+ levels again.

Yeah, and it looks like KR test is still IP blocked. Bummer.
Not much point in playing normal KR if you've already done a lot in NA, plus the connection lag is worse i've heard.


Maybe something exciting will happen and change that...

KR test is still blocked, but KR normal isn't? So they unblocked the only reason I would ever look at KR servers? >_>; And yes I would imagine. I get 200MS to california. I shudder to imagine what my MS to Korea would be...

Seeing as I'm downloading the client from korea at 80 kBp/s I think that's a pretty good indicator.

Hm, mine actually downloaded at a decent rate. Not stellar, but it only took me 2 hours to download test.


Apparently they're doing a maintenance to fix the account changes but that was supposed to end 50 minutes ago...though I can see you're also hovering around that thread so my updates do no good. x]


I might troll around normal KR for luls then uninstall. I think you can play other KR games, though...if there are people who want to play KR Maple or something, lol.

Scratch that, tried again and it sent me to a window to confirm my account, similar to original account creation. However, I get a new, different error when I tried to get on KR test. But it's strange because I was able to enter both with a IP change before. Either Nexon identified too much use of that South Korean IP or they went back to the old system because of foreign invasion.

Well, one of our theories is if you have an SK IP (via proxy), you may not need the KSSN for test. But our KR source also told us that you can have three accounts per KSSN (i'm not sure if that's how it was before), so that makes it a little easier to get an account.


In addition, you still need a proxy to log in to test, not sure about normal server.
So basically, still need a KSSN, but it's not as much of a hassle to make an account. The process goes: create account -> try to log in to game -> have to confirm identity via KSSN -> then you can play.

A few things I've noticed:
     -Moon Gates behave like mana tunnels(if you didn't know), however you aren't given all of the warps, just ceo
      island/tara/tir chonail.
     -Playing instrument is now rankable through attacking/killing monsters with an instrument.
     -You are given 2 free pets in addition to the 7-day thoroughbred (another thorough bred and an eagle) unknown if pets are temporary, however their inventory is unavailable.
     -Dynamic Combat system is implemented.
     -The newbie quests have been revamped.
     -Monster AI is quicker, instead of the usual loading defense and walking around you for ~1 minutes, it is reduced to a few seconds. (probably because of the new combat system)
     -All new players begin with ice/fire/lightning bolt and flame burst, water cannon and wind blast.
     -The method to obtain Overture of the Battle Field, Lullaby, Song of Endurance and Melody Shock is simply talking
     to an elf girl in the gypsy town where you'll be sent to an sm with low level bandits to practice the music skills.
     -To obtain the new harp/lyre you need to buy it from the trade assistant imp under limited items.

I'll update this list as I learn new things about the update, if anyone has a question they want asked let me know and I'll try to see if I can find it out for you.

Very nice. We wanted to get KR Test running again so we could bring back information to the community, but it doesn't look like that'll be happening anytime soon. ;_;
